About Betsy

Betsy Finn, Cr.Photog., CPP, is a contributing writer for Professional Photographer, and was named PPA Photographer of the Year (2008 + 2009). Betsy’s formal training includes a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Studio Art; an education giving her a unique perspective for running a photography studio. Betsy earned her PPA Photographic Craftsman degree in January 2010, and received the Michigan Service Award in February 2010.

Betsy’s work has won numerous awards: PPA Photographer of the Year (2008 + 2009), DPPA Best of Show (2008 + 2009), PPM Court of Honor (2008 + 2009), PPM Highest Scoring 1st Time Entry (2008), and more. Her images have been featured in the International Print Exhibition (2007-2010) and the Showcase Book (2009).

Betsy speaks at seminars and conventions to photographers across the country (read testimonials). She is sponsored by JD Photo Imaging and StudioPlus. Some of Betsy’s past speaking engagements include national conventions such as Imaging USA as well as smaller programs in New Hampshire, Virginia, and Tennessee.
