Increase Your Outlook Productivity with SimplyFile

About two weeks ago, I stumbled across a plugin for Outlook that seemed like a good idea. SimplyFile, created by TechHit, is more than just good — it’s a lifesaver. Since installing it, I’ve finally been able to get the emails in my inbox under control.

SimplyFile analyzes your existing email organization structure, and suggests the most likely place for you to file a given message. If it’s wrong, you can choose the right folder from the drop-down list, or just drag and drop in the preferred folder — as you continue to file emails, SimplyFile picks up on new trends too.

After using SimplyFile, I’m amazed at how much more productive my time using Outlook has become. Instead of wasting time navigating to the correct folder, then dragging and dropping each email message — I can now get it done with the click of a button. And, if I want to create a task, or schedule an appointment from an email message — SimplyFile has buttons to do that too. Another timesaver that comes in handy when the manual option involves copying/pasting the message contents into a task or appointment.

Finally, there is one other option I love. SimplyFile allows you to “snooze” certain emails — for whatever time length you would like. This is really convenient if you keep “active task” emails in your inbox, and then file them once completed. By hitting “snooze” — SimplyFile will “hide” that email from your inbox view for the specified length of time. When it reappears, it will be right there in your inbox — ready for you to work on that task.

If you haven’t figured it out yet — I am very impressed with this plugin, and would recommend it for any businessperson using Outlook. Even if you think you have your productivity workflow all figured out, I’m sure SimplyFile can help you get your email organization and filing done quicker and with less hassle. Take a peek at some screenshots of SimplyFile.

Best of all — SimplyFile just organizes your emails using Outlook’s normal structure — so if you uninstall the plugin, you won’t lose your organization. If you want to give SimplyFile a test run, you can download a free trial. SimplyFile retails for $39.95 per user, but when you consider the hours this plugin could save you — it might be worth its weight in gold. The license is transferable from one computer to another (uninstall/reinstall). For more information, visit www.TechHit.com/SimplyFile.
