So, did you make any resolutions for yourself? Did you break out the bubbly come midnight? Hopefully you’re able to remember all the fun you had!
Well, I did make some resolutions, but according to a friend of mine, I started planning late. Word is, that you have to write down your goals and resolutions three whole months before you want to start working on them. That way, you’ll have drilled those goals into your head by the time you need to implement them.
Better now than never though.
So what are your goals? dreams?
Maybe you want to spend more time with your family, or work more on improving the efficiency of your business.
That’s great!
Now, what you should do (so I’ve been told)…
Write it down. Preferably on something you’ll be able to see every day.
Did you know Jim Carrey wrote himself a check for a million dollars and carried it around with him while he was temping? I don’t know if it’s a true story or not… but it’s definitely something to think about.
Imagine, you pull out that check, look at it, and start to visualize yourself actually earning that $1,000,000.
Before you know it, you actually might start to believe you’re capable of bringing in the big bucks.
If you don’t dream big, you won’t achieve big. That’s why Les Brown’s quote is so popular:
Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.
Sometimes we get caught up in trying to avoid failure. Instead of fearing failure, welcome it as getting you one step closer to the goal. How many times did Thomas Edison fail before he found the perfect filament for the lightbulb?
