Hanging on for Life

Sometimes we keep searching for “the answer”, keep “waiting” for the solution.. when it’s actually right in front of us.  Every day, we have decisions to make, decisions about when to work, when not to work, and where to draw the line between work and family life.

A favorite movie of mine is Shawshank Redemption.  Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins), spends years in jail for a crime he didn’t commit.  During a conversation with a fellow prison mate, Red (Morgan Freeman), Andy says:

Either get busy living …or get busy dying.

You deserve to enjoy your life, not spend your whole life working and “waiting” for the answer. Take off the blinders, and widen your horizons. There is more to life than just work.

Your family, your friends, they deserve to spend time with you.

There’s more to life than just hanging on by a string. Take control, and start living the life you want to live. You deserve to enjoy your life.
