Free Studio Management Software: StudioPlus Express

As you know, I’m a fan of StudioPlus — it happened after I reviewed StudioPlus for Professional Photographer. It’s a great studio management program that will save you a ton of time throughout your entire process (from appointments to workflow and editing).

But, what I forgot to tell you, was that starting in January, at IUSA, StudioPlus rolled out a new pricing option:

Yes, that’s right. StudioPlus now has a free option. If you want to install the single user license of the Express version of StudioPlus, you don’t have to pay a thing.

You’ll be able to make sure you like how StudioPlus fits into your studio operations, and then decide which tier of StudioPlus you’d like to upgrade to (or maybe Express works just fine?).

Of course, the other versions of StudioPlus have more functionality (marketing, accounting, production, high schools, weddings, and advanced digital workflow), so if you find it’s not quite the right fit, don’t worry. StudioPlus has a product comparison chart on their site that will help you determine exactly where your needs will be best matched.

If you decide to spring for one of the paid versions, you can pay the total investment up front, or split it up into twelve monthly payments. And, unlike some software companies that make you lease the software — once you’ve completed the payments, you’ll own your license of StudioPlus — no need to keep paying more money…. though you might want to consider investing in the annual maintenance plan to keep abreast of new software updates and improvements.
