The other day, as I was going through my morning routine (I read my news online and via Facebook), I discovered that my website was down… and I didn’t know why. Well, I did a search for the following phrase:
is my website down for everyone or just me
Interestingly enough, some smart domain host owns the URL, downforeveryoneorjustme.com. And here’s what their site looks like:

After typing in my URL, I let this site check to see whether it was “just me”…
“Great,” I thought… “at least it works for everyone else.”
Well, luckily for me, when I refreshed my browser, my site loaded for me. Phew! Disaster averted!
Anyways, I wanted to share this site with you just in case you ever need to check to see if your site works (and you don’t have a friend on IM or FB around to do the checking).
Yes, it’s maintained by a hosting company, and I don’t know anything about their services. But rest assured you don’t need to buy their services in order to test whether your website is down for everyone or just you.
