Well, we talked ourselves into leaving warm, sunny Arizona and coming back to Michigan, complete with snow and frigid temperatures. The trip was so busy, in fact, that I didn’t really even get a chance to blog about why I was there.
Every year, the Professional Photographers of America holds a convention for its 20,000+ members (Imaging USA). This year, it was held in Phoenix, Arizona. I got to catch up with some good friends, attend some good classes, and attend the 118th International Exhibition of Professional Photography. As you know, four of my images were on display at the exhibition, and it was great to see them amongst all the fantastic work by other professional photographers.
We also attended the annual Awards Ceremony, held by the Professional Photographers of America. A number of my friends received awards and recognition during the awards ceremony… and I was honored to receive the award of 2008 Photographer of the Year (Bronze Level)!
So there you have it; my trip in a nutshell. I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things here at the studio and creating some great new images for you in 2009!
