Last night I spoke to photographers about Facebook at the 2009 Fall Training Camp (hosted by the Professional Photographers of Michigan). It was great to do a more “hands-on” training, especially because the conference center has wifi internet. Good news for any technology geek… but great for a photographer needing to teach Facebook and blogging!
After my “formal” part of the program, we went into the live demonstration of how to use Facebook. It’s always great to show photographers Facebook this way… because it simply makes more sense than a static screenshot.
To demonstrate the interactive nature of Facbook, I posted a status update earlier in the day asking my friends to help me out. I’ve blurred their names/avatars in the screenshot below, but you can definitely get the idea.
One of the neat things about PPM’s Training Camp was that I got to do my program twice (back-to-back). I did have a photographer stay through for the second sitting even! Today, I’ll be talking about Blogging Basics, in the same “hands-on” format as yesterday. So, if you see this blog post, would you be so kind as to leave a short comment? I’d love to have a blogging example similar to my Facebook one from yesterday!
